I can’t believe I’m writing this, but Duskpunk is live on Steam! You can buy it! If you’re on the fence, you should get it sooner rather than later: there’s a generous launch discount!

In case you didn’t see my last few updates: what is Duskpunk? Well, this trailer tells you a thing or two:

Duskpunk is a gritty, dice-driven RPG in a steampunk city. In a world torn apart by injustice and greed, you wash up in the city of Dredgeport, having escaped the Great War – but can you hang onto both life and sanity? Can you stay one step ahead of the authorities, and spark revolution against the regime that sees you as nothing but raw material?

In terms of mechanics, you pick skills and roll dice to do stuff, but the gameplay is very open (you can basically go anywhere and do anything across the whole city, during the day or night).

You manage your stress, time and health to survive. When you meet characters, a dialog unfolds. Some of the choices you make can change the fate of the city.

Interested? There’s a free demo if you want to try it out first!

This is the most ambitious game I’ve ever done, working with extremely talented artists across multiple disciplines. It’s also a very personal story (it’s about one person trying to scrape together enough to survive in a capitalist hellscape), but also feels extremely timely and relatable (it’s about everyone realising they should work together to overcome a capitalist hellscape).

I have tons more to say about it; if you’re interested in hearing more, let me know via Bluesky or the Clockwork Bird Discord. I’d love to write a blog post about how this game came together and changed over time, but only if there’s interest: don’t want to spam you!

Here’s that link once again. To everyone who buys it, thank you so, so much!
