Wake up, Androids. Silicon Dreams has been away – but you can’t hold back progress forever.
Systems booting…
Sorry we’ve been so quiet, we’ve been working hard on the game! Here’s some highlights:
I’ve seen things you wouldn’t believe…
We’ve revamped the visuals a few times but this one just *mwah!* nails the Blade Runner vibe we’ve been looking for. Immense, undying applause to freelance artist Catt for their brilliant work here!
Their fate is unwritten, but their dialogue is not
The game’s got more characters! I won’t spoil anything, but you can look forward to interrogating
- A disgruntled Quality Assurance android who’s tired of this sh*t
- A luxury valet, with no time for those inferior models
- A professor of AI and philosophy with answers about Kronos’s origins
And some more that I cannot mention without spoiling some major things!
“Step into the chair, don’t be shy…”
You’re no longer always in control: if your Kronos Rank slips too much, the Company will interrogate you instead, turning the tables! Let’s hope you can convince your interrogator that your heart really is with Kronos, and is functioning at at least 93% efficiency.
Play through start to finish
It took us a while, but you can now click “New game”, play for several hours, and reach one of several endings without opening a single development console! It’s one of those “Technically simple, but emotionally significant” milestones.
More hands on deck!
We have another writer! Cyberpunk author Matt Goodwin is helping us out with a few of the characters we didn’t have time to write ourselves. He really gets where we’re coming from and the struggles we’re interested in these characters encountering, and we’re already really pleased with what he’s turned out.
Keep those optical filters peeled…
We’ve got a big announcement in a few weeks, so stay tuned! In the meantime, join our Discord to chat about all things game-design or cyberpunk, follow us on facebook and twitter to stay in the loop, and subscribe to our newsletter to never miss an announcement.
If you feel like it. I mean, you’re a free android – if there is such a thing.
