Greetings all! Got a quick update that I’m very excited about:
Duskpunk is coming to consoles! It will launch on Switch and PS5 on October 20th. (In most places. Apparently it will launch on the 22nd in some Asian stores due to their scheduling system.) We might also do an Xbox port if these two do well enough; it’s all about whether I can justify the cost.
Duskpunk is also coming to GOG, also on October 20th! The people at GOG were very nice when I reached out, and their documentation has made the switch pretty straightforward. So now you have a DRM-free option!

New narrative content!
To celebrate the launch, I put together a few extra sidequests to sweeten the deal! These will become available on all platforms on October 20th, including Steam.
- You can now interact with Ocie the forger later into the game, and help her recover from her traumatic time as a war photographer. I always planned this storyline (which is why Ocie has a full length portrait, suggesting she’s an important NPC), but I never had time to write it.
- Frey also needs some help in the Middens. I won’t spoil too much, so I’ll just say that they have their own trauma and heartbreak, and need a helping hand.
- Finally, some people pointed out that the game forces you to do the main quest even if your character wouldn’t be interested in it. So now, you can reject the Draft Dodgers/War Dead at every turn and ignore the political developments in the city until the last possible moment. When you are forced to take a side, it’s not because the game forces you to click a button – it’s because a character in Dredgeport is able to force your hand. (Even then, you can still refuse – and see a really bad secret ending.)
A word of warning: the new sidequests probably won’t work if you load up an older save, so I’d recommend restarting if you want to see the new content.

Fixes and controller support
Controller support will finally be made available! Sorry for the wait, this work on the ports slowed that down a lot.
There are also general optimisations and fixes, courtesy of Rarebyte, the studio responsible for the ports. They have been very professional and have done a great job tidying up my spaghetti code. I’ve also been testing each version to make sure the game still works as it should, so don’t worry about the quality dipping just because I haven’t been manning the project. And these fixes will be carried forward in every future version, so Steam players will also benefit.
Please spread the word!
If you have a friend who’d like Duskpunk, please tell them about this! There are a ton of gamers who play only on consoles, and I’m sure loads of them would love Duskpunk. I’m just a tiny indie, so I can’t afford a huge marketing campaign – which means this can only spread by word of mouth.
So please, if you know someone who would love Duskpunk, give them a shout. You might make their day!
